Banner ads are images that are alternately displayed in a certain area on each page of your site. To setup banner ads, follow the instructions below.

1. Decide on the dimensions you would like to use for your banners.
2. Decide whether to use a fixed banner rotation or have the system randomly choose a banner to display. If you choose to use a random banner rotation, you may also enter a weight when uploading the banner. Banners with a higher weight will be displayed more often.
3. Upload some images to use as banners.
4. Decide where on your default template you would like to have your banner ad displayed.
5. The name of the banner image can be accessed using the <ww:banner> tag. Place this tag inside an HTML <img> tag. For example, after deciding where to display your banner ads, use <img src=“<ww:banner>”> to display them.
6. View your site to see that your banner ads are displaying as expected. Each time your page is reloaded you should see a different banner ad. This may or may not be the case if you are using random banner selection.

When choosing or designing images for banner ads, you should try to keep the images as close to the same size as possible. This way, when the image changes, other content on your page will not be pushed around. If you choose to not have the system resample your images, other content may or may not be pushed around depending on how much the banner ad images vary from one to the other. Note that the width and height of each banner as displayed after the banner has been uploaded can be accessed using the tags <ww:banner_width> and <ww:banner_height>.
