How to Unsubscribe from the Windows Remote Desktop Client

Follow the unsubscribe steps if you need to reset an expired password or sign in with different user credentials.

If your password has not expired, you can change your System Five on Cloud password by visiting this link.

Unsubscribe

Allows you to sign out and unsubscribe from your System Five on Cloud credentials.

  1. Click on the three dots “…” to the right of the S5oC subscription
  2. Choose Unsubscribe
  3. Click the “Continue” button to answer “Are you sure you want to unsubscribe?”
  4. Close or Exit Remote Desktop client first.
  5. Open Remote Desktop client again and the environment should refresh and you will be presented with the “Subscribe” button.
  6. To continue with new user and password credentials follow these steps

Note: The default password policy is 1 capital and 1 number, a minimum of 8 characters.

Reset

A full reset of the environment may be required if you receiving an error about changing your password before signing in.

  1. Click on the three dots “…” to the right of the Windows Remote Desktop client
  2. Choose About from the menu.
  3. Click the “Reset” button to reset your user data. This will remove ALL subscription information and close the Windows Remote Desktop client.
  4. Open the Windows Remote Desktop client from the Start Menu.
  5. The environment will be refreshed and you will be presented with the “Subscribe” button.
  6. To continue with new user and password credentials follow these steps

Messages that required this solution

  • If you receive this dialog when signing in: “This user account's password has expired. The password must change in order to logon. Please update the password or contact your system administrator or technical support.”
  • If you receive this dialog that states: “You must change your password before logging on the first time. Please update your password or contact your system administrator or technical support.”
  • If you receive an error dialog with the code: 0x1207
Try using a different password if you are receiving the error “You must change your password before logging on the first time”.
