How to Unsubscribe from the Windows Remote Desktop Client

Follow these steps if you need to sign in with different credentials or unsubscribe to reset a password in the Windows Desktop Client.

Errors seen that require this solution

  • If you receive an error dialog that states: “You must change your password before logging on the first time. Please update your password or contact your system administrator or technical support.”
  • If you receive an error dialog with the code: 0x1207
Try using a different password if you are have received the error “You must change your password before logging on the first time”.

Unsubscribe

  1. Click on the three dots “…” to the right of the S5oC subscription
  2. Choose Unsubscribe
  3. Click the “Continue” button to answer “Are you sure you want to unsubscribe?”
  4. The environment should refresh and you will be presented with the “Subscribe” button.
  5. To continue with new user and password credentials follow these steps

Reset

A full reset of the environment may be required if you receiving an error about changing your password before signing in.

  1. Click on the three dots “…” to the right of the Windows Remote Desktop client
  2. Choose About from the menu.
  3. Click the “Reset” button to reset your user data. This will remove ALL subscription information and close the Windows Remote Desktop client.
  4. Open the Windows Remote Desktop client from the Start Menu.
  5. The environment will be refreshed and you will be presented with the “Subscribe” button.
  6. To continue with new user and password credentials follow these steps
