Line 1: Line 1:
 +====== System Five Seems To Freeze on the cloud when we attach a larger PDF document to a part ======
 +  * This applies to our System Five on Cloud environment, but may be applicable to other users in remote desktop environments
 +
 +====== Problem ======
 +  * The scenario is that normally our customer attaches approx. 1MB PDF files to parts, but sometimes they have larger PDF's in the 3-5 MB size.
 +  * They also don't have these PDFs from their local drives that a shared on their cloud RDS session.
 +  * In this scenario a couple of things happen.
 +    * 1. After sending a burst of data around 1-2 MB in size the connection will throttle the traffic
 +    * 2. We use a method of transfer that is meant to load local files very quickly to the database, but does not work well over the web where latency is many times what you would get from a local or networked file copy.
 +  * This should apply to attaching documents to customers, invoices, or any other locations you can attach documents to a record.
 +
 +
 +===== Solution =====
 +
 +  * Copy the file to the shared drive, then attach to System Five. You may also clean these files up after you have attached them, or periodically.
