Running System Five Demos on Microsoft Vista


If you experience the System Five trial version not running under the With Microsoft Vista operating system. The following will usually fix this.


Once this is disabled there should be no issue running the System Five trial version.

The default security settings for Vista have “User Control Manager” enabled. This will prompt the user to confirm every action and thus will stop the Pervasive Workstation Engine from starting on boot-up. To disable the “User Control Manager” in Vista, please do the following:

  • Go to the Control Panel and choose “User Accounts”
  • Click on the option to “Turn User Account Control on or off”

  • Un-Check the option for User Account Control (UAC) and then re-boot your computer
