This page allows you to manage your inventory. Here you can add parts, remove parts, edit parts, update part information and set some options on how inventory is handled within your store.

Add Part / Edit Part

These two areas allow you to add new parts or edit existing ones. Add Part takes you directory to the part edit screen below. Edit Part will first display a list of your categories and the inventory count for each category. Clicking a category will then list all the parts in that category, from there you can click the part you wish to edit and the part edit screen (below) will be populated accordingly.

Part Edit Steps Example:
Choose the Category that contains the part you wish to edit. Choose the part you wish to edit.

Find Part

This area allows you to enter a search string to locate a specific inventory item in your online store. Valid seach strings are part numbers, WW Unique code, part name, and part description. If more then one item matches entered search criteria, a list of matching inventory items will be returned.

Miscellaneous Part Settings

This area has five (5) configuration settings related to how the display if inventory is handled.

  1. Display Columns: When your site is presenting a list of available inventory items, this setting will determine how many columns to use for each row when showing the inventory list.
  2. Import Image Width: Maximum image width constraint. When images are imported into the store, they will be resampled to be no wider then the value set here.
  3. Import Image Height: Maximum image height constraint. When images are imported into the store, they will be resampled to be no taller then the value set here.
  4. Import Thumbnail Width: Maximum thumbnail width constraint. When images are imported into the store, a thumbnail image will be created with a width no wider then the value set here.
  5. Import Thumbnail Height: Maximum thumbnail height constraint. When images are imported into the store, a thumbnail image will be created with a height no taller then the value set here.

Part Sort Settings

As described in the image, this area allows you to determine up to two (2) criteria for sorting invetory items.

Import Inventory XML

This area provides the ability to upload a locally stored inventory.xml file as generated by System5.

Import Images

This area allows you to import images into your online store that you have manually uploaded to your site. Enter the folder containing the images, relative to your store directory, and click Submit to have the images imported.

Import Brand XML

This area provides the ability to upload a locally stored brand.xml file as generated by System5.
