Customer Requirements Prior to Basic Server Migration
- Make sure to back up Data and bin folder, rename bin folder to oldbin - Create a new folder to new server at C: Drive, name Windward - Inside Windward create a new folder System5 - Inside System5 folder place copy of Data and bin folder - New Server must have internet and is connected to the network - Remind customer to check printer ports for the new and old server e.g usb or serial ports
Windward Support Basic Server Migration
- Install Systemfive and Pervasive to new server pc - Replace bin folder with the oldbin that was copied from the old server - Share Windward folder with full permission - Remapped all local stations and make sure all stations can log in to system five
* Includes new server Systemfive and pervasive installation * Linking of workstations to new server * Includes Installation of Datacap & Netepay if Integrated to credit card processor * Using special modules (Polling, WEAR and Standalone) * Running on Terminal Services Environment
For Customers with WEAR, Polling and Standalone
- Synch first location data - For WEAR and Polling transfer FTP server to the new server - Make sure to back up Data and bin folder, rename bin folder to oldbin - Create a new folder to new server at C: Drive, name Windward - Inside Windward create a new folder System5 - Inside System5 folder place copy of Data and bin folder - New Server must have internet and is connected to the network - Remind customer to check printer ports for the new and old server e.g usb or serial ports
Note: Some FTP is place in the server. If customer will no longer use the old server then they need to have their IT guy to create a new FTP in the new server.
- Install Systemfive and Pervasive to new server pc - Replace bin folder with the oldbin that was copied from the old server - Install Netepay and all datacap application needed on the new server and make sure they can process cc transactions - Share Windward folder with full permission - Remapped all local stations and make sure all stations can log in to system five - Set new FTP credentials in the polling manager in the server and the remote severs as well - Make sure to test polling and confirm that is working before closing the ticket - Reconfigure Cc processor
